Close Your Mind, Ears, Eyes and Mouth

Don’t let anything in or out

Close Your Mind, Ears, Eyes and Mouth

Close your mind before they enter,
Lock each memory far away.
Hide the truth beneath your silence,
Never let the darkness stay.

Close your ears to every warning,
Some are poisoned from the start.
Not each voice deserves believing,
Guard the doorway to your heart.

Close your eyes when hatred rises,
Do not feed its endless flame.
Some reflections wear a stranger,
None will ever look the same.

Close your mouth before your anger,
Builds a bridge you can’t repair.
Words can wound far more than weapons,
Leaving scars still waiting there.

Hold your soul beyond their reach now,
Stand although your knees may shake.
Every storm will lose its power,
When it finds you will not break.

Walk in silence, never fearful,
Let the truth become your guide.
Some doors open into freedom,
Others should stay locked inside.

Trust your heart but guard it well,
Not every smile is built on truth.
Some wear kindness like a mask,
To steal the innocence of youth.

When peace at last finds where you stand,
Unlock your heart and breathe once more.
The darkest night must always end,
As morning knocks upon the door.
