Clinging to Embers Leaves Only Ashes

The fireplace whispers tales of winters past,

Embers glowing, remnants of a fire that couldn't last.

Aching beauty in the dying light they cast,

A haunting echo of warmth that wouldn't hold fast.

We cling to embers, fueled by memory's spark,

Of laughter shared, a love that left its mark.

But flames once fierce now flicker, dim and frail,

And clinging to the embers leaves only ashes, pale.

The comfort of illusion, a fleeting, fragile hold,

Denying the inevitable, the story yet untold.

The fire's dying embers cannot bring back the sun,

Grasping at the past leaves battles yet to be won.

We fear the cold that creeps in with the night,

The emptiness that lingers, devoid of warmth and light.

But clinging to embers stunts the chance to grow,

To find a new flame, a different kind of glow.

The ashes hold the promise of fertile ground,

Where seeds of hope and purpose can be found.

Letting go of embers, though painful, clears the way,

For something beautiful to bloom another day.

It's hard to face the darkness, the chill that bites the bone,

But in the ashes, resilience can be sown.

For even phoenixes rise from fiery demise,

Transforming sorrow, with courage in their eyes.

Release the embers, let the ashes fall,

Embrace the unknown, and answer freedom's call.

The world is vast, with adventures yet unseen,

New fires waiting, to ignite a vibrant scene.

The path ahead may twist and turn, unknown,

But holding on to embers keeps you all alone.

Embrace the wind of change, a cleansing, bitter gust,

For in the ashes, newfound strength we trust.

It's time to build anew, with lessons dearly learned,

A fire built with purpose, where hope and dreams have burned.

Let go of what's faded, the embers cold and gray,

Embrace the dawn, a brighter, stronger day.

The ashes hold the embers of what used to be,

But from their remnants, rise and set your spirit free.

For clinging to embers leaves only ashes behind,

But letting go can set a brighter future to find.
