Throwing out all unwanted items
It is time for a fresh start in life

Out goes the chair you sit in nightly
Along with your tacky wall art
Into the bag goes your alarm clock
To join your shaving supplies
All but the clothes on your back
Have already been packed
I could have thrown them out
To sit on the lawn for all to see
Instead, I choose to pile them high
To burn in the backyard fire pit
No offense, but I am done
With your cheating ways
So I am cleaning out the house

Welcome to my new series, a weekly blog on what’s inspiring me. I spent much of last week in bed with a stomach bug. I’ll spare you the details of that—but in addition to the grotesque physical symptoms, I had some fever dreams I won’t soon forget.
