In a world where words hold power untamed,
A cautionary tale of torment and pain,
Where souls are wounded, hearts left maimed,
For reasons unknown, a senseless campaign.
With tongues as sharp as daggers they wield,
People choose to torment, to harm and to break,
Their motives demented, their intentions concealed,
Leaving victims shattered, their spirits at stake.
Oh, the beauty of language, a gift so divine,
Yet twisted and turned, it becomes a cruel art,
Words once used to uplift, now used to malign,
Tearing apart bonds, ripping souls apart.
In whispers and murmurs, the venom takes flight,
Spreading like wildfire, consuming all in its wake,
A battle of words, a relentless fight,
Leaving scars unseen, hearts ready to break.
Why do we choose to wield this dark might?
To torment and destroy, with no reason or rhyme,
Is it a thirst for power, a twisted delight,
Or a reflection of our own pain and grime?
Let us pause and reflect on the damage we cause,
With each word we utter, with each sentence we form,
For the wounds we inflict, the scars that won't pause,
Can haunt us forever, in the midst of life's storm.
For in the end, when the damage is done,
When bridges are burned, and friendships are lost,
We realize too late, the battles we've won,
Are hollow and empty, at an unimaginable cost.
So let us be mindful, of the words we employ,
To uplift and inspire, to heal and restore,
For in this vast world, where hearts can be destroyed,
May our words be a balm, a refuge, and more.
For in the domain of words, we hold immense power,
To build or destroy, to love or to hate,
Let us choose wisely, in every waking hour,
To mend what is broken, before it's too late.
