Cholesterol, oh what a foe,

A silent danger, don't you know,

It clogs our veins, causes strife,

Leading to heart disease, what a life.

It comes in two forms, good and bad,

HDL and LDL, make us glad,

HDL helps, while LDL harms,

Balancing them, protects our hearts.

Foods high in saturated fats,

Raise our cholesterol, that's the stats,

Trans fats too, best to avoid,

Healthy eating habits, should be employed.

Exercise and weight control,

Also help, this we know,

Medications, when needed too,

Can lower cholesterol, it's true.

Cholesterol, a battle to win,

Take care of our heart, from within,

Healthy choices, each day we make,

Will help keep it under control, no mistake.
