We are all weird and outcasted.
We don't want to pay our bills but need Netflix like life support to cope.
We are starving while craving a nostalgia that has long escaped our frames of mind.
We want it all to be simple.
So we settle for the wrong people.
The toxic, red flag lovers that leech onto barricaded hearts and suck not the lives, but the souls leaving behind numb vessels, tainted temples.
Convoluted braincases.
So we become the well-known depressed generation.
The one who indulges in the vices, walking around in a waking world, doped up, over-prescribed, underdiagnosed, ashamed, blamed.
Because this life is
All
Just
A Game.
We fall into the trap.
We are "supposed" to live this life in order,
Because god forbid a condom gets broken,
And a woman who's ready gives birth to a miracle she loves
At the age of 19. (sidenote: she shouldn't feel sorry).
Cuz, that baby is not a mistake, but her whole world.
What power to hold- being someone's whole world
At the age of 18, parents start to ask who we are dating,
After sheltering us for years and years.
After telling us, not to date until when older, so I guess
"Older" is a 2-year difference.
Alone, I am nothing. But with a partner who's supposed to be my whole world at 21, then I'm someone?
Love shouldn't be a milestone.
It's a design and a blessing, from
A universe all around us, all within us, and all above us.
This life shouldn't be restricted.
No one should be a fool for waiting
until they're ready. Or for starting later.
Or for loving deeply.
No one should be labeled a bitch for not fucking smiling.
Pout on gurl!
You are not a pussy for crying. Cry longer! Cry harder!
Feel it and take your time!
You are not a bad person for cutting off "friends"
For not answering that text, for taking a day off.
You may be broken, but you don't need a lover to fix you.
We all yearn for the day that a god or the universe, will sit at the edge of our beds with us, and hand us the book of our lives, with a handy dandy translation guide of 'How not to fuck up', who to avoid, what not to do.
But that day ain't ever gonna come.
See we are all at different chapters in our lives.
We should focus less on meeting the deadline
for our manuscript and focus more on filling in the blank pages of our existence.
Write your best seller in the eyes of the universe.
We are the children of the lost pages whose books may be read, or may never be found.
But at least we can say that we spent a hell of a time writing a damn good story.
