Cheated by the darkness

Darkness

By Kimberley Published 2 years ago 1 min read

cheated by the darkness- the comfort where you lay. The hands reaching for you- wanting what they take. Taking turns, taking pieces. Until it’s broken- watch it break. Killed by by your silence- it’s quiet eyes those never wake. Forever hiding behind the curtains. Holding in all the pain. Can never see the people your hurting. The ones who care, they take the blame. Wasted all the dreams you treasured. Tried so hard to sail away. You let the sea take you under- take you out, take you away. I can’t believe your gone now. I can’t believe you left them behind. Sinking in the darkness you trusted one last time. Did it feel better than love- was it rusted, was it worn? Did it feel like you wanted it more but you already had your turn?
