CHANGELING
Through The Looking Glass...
A changeling sleeps 'neath starry skies,
She closes soft, her pretty eyes
Ghosts, through misty windows cry,
Earth angel spreads her wings to fly.
✨
The changeling dreams as secrets sleep,
Her worth well ploughed, her seeds sowed deep
The aftermath of joy’s injection,
Appears as shame in her reflection...
✨
Denial screams from inky depths,
Forbidden fruit, her nectar blessed
In watery eyes, her dreams dissolve,
Her hope hangs lonely in the cold.
✨
They labelled her as “too far gone”,
Her blues turned black, her star had shone
For hate of self and words unheard,
She squandered gifts, as “underserved”,
✨
The changeling fled from judgement’s glare,
Through the Looking Glass, she disappeared
There, Alice held her trembling hands,
And welcomed her to Wonderland...
✨
