Cathedral of Unseen Grace

A Prose Poem of Celestial Love

By Tim CarmichaelPublished 2 months ago 1 min read

Deep within this vaulted sanctum of my spirit, a devotion burns, steady as the ancient stars.
Your affection found me amidst the velvet shadows, where longing once reigned in solitude.
Now, our communion is a sacred vow, bound by cords of unseen grace.
I am become a vessel for this celestial heat, a sanctuary where your presence dwells eternal.

Think upon the violet dusk that cloaks the moors.
Your tenderness descends like twilight dew upon a thirsty garden, unseen yet deeply felt, sustaining the very essence of my being.
We are two souls intertwined, caught in a dance moving across the tapestry of eternity with purpose profound.
Your regard is the anchor of my existence, holding fast against the tides of time.

I offer all I am to this holy union, a complete surrender of my weary self into the embrace of your unwavering fidelity.
This love is a crown, adorned with jewels of sincerity, worn with humble pride.
It is a cathedral built of promises, rising toward a heaven we have crafted for ourselves, shielded from the turbulence of the world.

My heart beats in cadence with yours, a rhythmic song composed of joy and reverence.
We linger here, safe in the cloister of our truth, where every glance bestows a benediction.
You are the moonlight upon the silent waters of my soul, a constant promise of beauty that transcends the mundane, anchoring me forever in this blissful harbor of our own making.

Author's Note:

This prose style poem explores a deeply spiritualized form of love, where romantic devotion is framed as something sacred, eternal, and almost divine. It reflects the speaker’s transformation through connection with another person, portraying love as both a sanctuary and a binding force that gives meaning, stability, and transcendence to existence.
