right in the middle of my ordinary
chaos came out to play
it’s freedom was wild and extraordinary
prophetic, profound and gay
I tried to hold on to the feeling
explain my lonely away
longing for a sweet sense of healing
but my quixotism got in the way
when the moment passed by, then it hit me
I was missing the point of this life
it’s all fun and games till you forget how to play
and the ordinary doesn’t hit right
so, I decided to let go of perfect
let the child inside take control
there’s a lot to be said of imperfect
cleansing the heart, mind and soul
