Captivated by a Summer encounter

Morning thrills as we travel the road

Distance from home a new place to ponder…

The clock has no reason to hasten time

Feeling the sun beams warmth for longer…

Talk is profound while our antics are brief

Each beat of my heart, nearness is yonder…

Dry, harsh, windblown by the dune’s debris

Turn, walk the splinter path for longer…

My sense does hear a crashing rumble

Sight behold as I view great wonder…

Breathe before deep blue does beckon

Drawing me near an urge much stronger…

Kissed with freckles, rose coloured mouth

Scorching heat makes each strand Blonder …

Undress with the soft voice of a Summer breeze

Warm skin, submerge, cool, free to Wander…

A wet sameness each unique, roll in

The vast shoreline not left to squander…

Lay buoyant on white, blue, aqua, green

Profound as you and I in joint sonder…

Wild and free tiers of seaweed, entwined hair

My youth, weightless his glance much fonder…

Naïve and kind, a smile of pure goodness

Caught breathless in sight by my asunder…
