Take my hand, come with me

You know you want to,

There is so much to see.

We’ll fight your ghosts,

Take on my demons.

Honey, I know Captain is your friend,

But tonight just stay in bed.

Down the straight old path,

Forged by brave ones before.

Put your Captain down,

Take my hand.

We can’t turn back now.

**I wrote this in high school for a boy I did not really know, but we had gone on a few dates, though my best friend decided she liked him so I stopped talking to him. He was trying to figure out if he liked me or my best friend, and kept telling us he "couldn't put his Captain down". It was all very interesting, very high school. They ended up dating for a little while, and eventually he broke up with her and showed up to my job in a tuxedo and guitar to ask me to go to prom. It was a hard no, I did not go to prom with him.**
