"There are nights when the wolves are silent and only the moon howls." ~ George Carlin
Black cats crossed
Their path with orange
And white eyes.
Speaking spells
Of hell and damnation
As Halloween is
The damned.
Dripping blood on
Crosswalks, causing
Tragedy on a sweet
Halloween night.
Leaking poison
Into candy corn
But children die
With masks on
And pumpkins
Placed on their
Graves.
Can’t you hear
The laughter from the
Grave? Its screaming,
Ringing and tingling
Against their skin.
We buried them
With candy corn
And locked their
Graves.
As the pumpkins
Laugh to cover
Their screams.
Can’t hear them
Over the witches
laughter?
