Can't Hold You Back
A poem by Jason Morton
Does one simply dance with the devil out of spite and forget about their soul
In the middle of the night does one feel this spirit screaming let's roll
Stand your ground while you're weak in the knees
To take what is yours without bothering to say please
Remember the battles won and lost
Accept your place in history despite that massive cost
Can you challenge the distractions and push thru to the end
Trying to convince the world of your way of thinking or at least to bend
I know not one of you that's afraid of the dance
Only the weak at heart scurry away like ants
Never before and never again will you be distracted by can't

Strength of conviction, never wavering, living & standing for what you believe. But is there any room for learning, for admitting we were wrong, for grace & repentance?
