Can I turn back time.

I wish I could rewind the clock

And stop us from taking that

Rocky road ..

Stay in my room instead of going to the farewell

Of i guy i barely knew maybe then we'd still be okay .

Not crash the party in the common room a little

Maybe then we'd still be how were when I got back.

We use be so complicated just being us no unspoken words

No harsh realizations and dreams of things we both knew would never happen.

Can I please turn back time ..

Back to when we were uncomplicated .

Back to when all was right and you were in the place you were meant to be

From the start . The place i told everyone you were in.

Your hugs felt like home and smile made my day no strings attached just plainly

Us being African.

I never needed to know your whole story

I just needed you to be who were in the present moment.

I dont like this feeling , this empty yet some how painful space in my heart.

I am unsure if we done cause i know what i said but I don't want that to be true

Yet every time we talk it feels like we keep saying goodbye hoping

It aint true .

The not knowing drives me but i am scared to asked

Because the truth might destroy me so i'll stay with the

Not knowing if i'll have you still when i'd need you most

Not knowing if you'll smile when you see me again or turn the other way.

Not knowing if we are still friends or strangers that mean a lot each other .

I wish I could turn back time ..because i am unsure if we can fix this that is now broken.
