A Love Poem

I gaze into your eyes, so deep and blue

Feel your hair, gold as rays of sun ‘fore set.

A line of word on my lips, spak so true,

Both ego and id, they abet. /

The lift of your arm over me

Amor will skip a beat.

Soul bond, a song we sing,

Wild, yet tame and meek. /

The dew of dawn on your skin

Ever more will draw me in.

Ne’er do I wish I had less,

As I sink into you over ‘gain. /

In the past, how it made me weep,

To know of what I need not keep.

Ice on the fire fog in my head,

Your calm is what I seek.

About the Creator

V. N. Roesbon

I have dreamt of being a writer since a young age. In my teenage years I also came to love photography. I typically take pictures of clouds and write poems, but so far I am really enjoying creating for challenges here on Vocal.
