-*-

It was not that long ago,

when I heard your chanting voice;

I was back then on a place

known as "pain in overflow".

-*-

Your rendition was divine,

It root out my doltish heart;

but you went back to the ocean

before I could grow a spine.

-*-

I have been so lost without you,

almost sank deep in the sea;

ragging storms savaging ports,

there was nothing I could do.

-*-*-*-

Until one day I realize:

I will never hear her voice

if perpetually in the shadows

was my sole and simple choice.

-*-

"Plot the course! Sail across!"

told myself out of the blue;

walked back to the white sands,

(there was no more I would do).

-*-

Sitting by the shoreline,

right atop a mighty rock,

there was you, ethereal creature;

heart and soul went into a shock.

-*-*-*-

Now, I'm standing here close by, with my head tilted your way;

I am ready, you can start: here are my demons, cue to slay.
