You said space, but my brain registered 'silence'
and my hands forgot their language
grief sat with me like the winter night
thin, honest and unafraid.
This morning, a white butterfly
floated onto my hand as if holding,
reassuring me with its presence.
It circled my head then lifted,
as if caring away the doubt
into the warm gentle air.
I watched, aching but breathing
the feeling of peace returning.
A fragile bit of courage unfolding,
leaving room for hope.
Come back to me,
loosen your grip on my heart
as it chooses you to walk
in this new beginning with me.

Howdy! There is relatable stuff here- dark and twisty and some sentimental garbage. "Don't forget to tip your waitresses" Hi, I am your waitress, let me serve you with more content. Hope you enjoy! :)
