Budding Chaos

immersed

Budding youth are more than distracted, they are immersed

by the media, coerced

The world looks at them like greedy vulture

Insatiable is the environmental culture

They are budding into something as they feed off the lyrics heard through ear buds

Washed by world’s filthy, mucky, soap suds

Bathed in the voices of their peers

Hearts never forget such broken fears

Addicted to the noise,

everything seems to be of reckless poise

Minds, just for an ounce of attention, bleeding

At each other’s throats feeding

Sad, but true

There are a few

who are reaching for something great

because someone lead them through blessed gate

A gate of wisdom and wonder

so through life they would not blunder

sad poetry
