Brushstrokes of a Heart

That Cannot Fade

By Printique StudiosPublished about a year ago • 1 min read

You arrive like color on a blank canvas,

soft at first,

just a trace along the edges,

a glance that lingers too long,

a laugh that makes the room tilt toward you.

I catch myself leaning in,

as if drawn by some invisible line

only we can see.

Your presence feels painted,

layer upon layer,

strokes of warmth I didn’t know

my skin remembered how to hold.

The world slows,

not in silence,

but in a rhythm I can finally follow.

Every word you breathe

lands with the weight of a promise,

though you never have to say it.

But then:

something shifts.

It isn’t just affection anymore.

It’s revelation.

The way you look at me

turns ordinary space

into a cathedral of light.

I realize love is not decoration,

it’s transformation,

the art remakes the artist,

and I am no longer the same.

In your arms,

I find the masterpiece I thought

was impossible to finish.

Every shade of doubt dissolves,

every unfinished line

meets its completion in you.

And still,

it feels less like an ending

and more like the beginning

of a canvas too vast

for either of us to ever run out of room.
