his eyes calm like coffee
warm steady
holding the morning quiet
green eyed girl
her eyes like a snakes
sharp restless
searching for secrets in the air
he speaks in few words
his calm like a shelter
she listens but doubts
always tasting the silence
brown eyed boy
his gaze never drifts
he is a tree in the wind
she wonders if roots
hide whispers beneath
green eyed girl
her stare is a storm
she circles his calm
like fire around stone
jealous of what she cannot see
he moves through the hours
unbothered unshaken
she carries the weight
of her watching heart
that beats like a drum in the night
their love is a river
deep dark in places
his still water holds her
her wild current breaks him
yet they keep flowing together
