Behind closed doors, a world of pain,

The sound of fists and screams of disdain.

A cycle of violence that takes hold,

Leaving those who suffer feeling alone and cold.

Domestic violence, a silent epidemic,

That leaves its victims feeling helpless and traumatic.

The scars may heal, but the wounds still remain,

A reminder of the pain and the terror that still remains.

The barriers to seeking help and support,

Are as many as the victims who are caught.

Fear, shame, and stigma that silence their voice,

Making it hard to know what to do, with no choice.

The system can fail those who suffer in silence,

With services that are too slow or too biased.

A lack of resources, funding, and care,

Making it hard for those who are struggling to repair.

But we must break the silence and speak out,

For those who suffer, who need our help and our shout.

We must offer compassion, empathy, and love,

And work towards a future that's free from the violence of.

Domestic violence may be a silent epidemic,

But the power of our voice can make it endemic.

For a world that's free from domestic abuse,

Is a world that's built on compassion and love, where all can feel safe and refuse.

So let us break the silence and speak out,

And offer support, help, and love, with no doubt.

For a world that's free from domestic violence,

Is a world where all can thrive, with no more silence.
