Bringing Love to a Barren Heart
Kathy made me come back to life by believing in her

Bringing Love to a Barren Heart
I buried love beneath years of sorrow,
Locked every feeling where no light could stay,
Each broken memory stained every tomorrow,
I learned to survive while pushing warmth away.
The nights grew colder inside this lonely chest,
Silence became the only thing I could trust,
Dreams faded slowly without a place to rest,
My soul collected heartbreak and dust.
I swore no woman could reach what pain destroyed,
Too many scars had hardened every part of me,
The empty spaces inside stayed cold and void,
A barren heart chained without a key.
Then Kathy appeared with tender, gentle eyes,
Soft spoken words wrapped calm around my storm,
No games, no lies hidden in disguise,
Just quiet affection carrying honest warmth.
She touched my life without demanding change,
Patient with wounds she never helped create,
Somehow her kindness made the darkness strange,
As if love itself refused to arrive too late.
Her laughter filled corners long left dead,
Breathing life through every shattered wall,
Hope returned with every word she said,
For the first time I was no longer afraid to fall.
Kathy never knew how close I came to breaking,
How deeply loneliness poisoned every year,
Yet her tender heart kept my spirit waking,
Turning old pain into something clear.
Now love blooms where nothing once survived,
Inside a heart I believed beyond repair,
Because one gentle woman kept hope alive,
And showed me real love was still waiting there.
