Breath of Life
Awaken our hearts to breath new love

Breath of Life
I remember the quiet of your absence,
how it settles in the room like heavy dust.
I hold my hands to the hollow space,
wishing for warmth that has left.
Your name slips through my fingers,
yet I trace it on my lips anyway.
I pray for what once breathed between us,
a spark stubborn in the dark.
Memory twists under my hands,
a pulse I thought forgotten wakes.
I force it alive,
blood moving against the silence.
The walls remember us better than I do.
Each shadow curves like your shoulder,
every silence hums the rhythm of us,
every quiet becomes a heartbeat.
I lay my hand on the empty heart,
whisper words I could not then.
I let them seep into the cracks,
let them wake what sleeps.
For a moment it stirs, fragile, trembling, alive.
It is a breath of life in a dead love.
