Breath Intertwined

when our hearts learned each other’s rhythm

Breath Intertwined

Our breaths tangled in the space

between exhale and inhale,

and I felt your presence

not as a shadow,

but as the pulse of my own life

reaching outward to meet me,

a warmth that stayed long after

the touch had ended.
