Break The Cycle

Generational curses are a thing. A generational curse can be anything or any trama that is passed down from previous generations. I’m generalizing when I say this generation is a generation who were never taught how to handle their emotions of anger and frustration and even sadness. So now you have adults who go to much off of their feelings and off of what they feel in the moment. Which often leads to regret.

To break generational curses adults are having to re wire their brain to break old thought patterns that were passed down to them.

Which is a good thing to do. It’s good to try and re wire your brain and to try and grow. You get in trouble when you have the mentality of “this is me take it or leave it”. Because a person can always grow. Now what if instead of having adults that have to re wire their brain and break generational curses. What if we teach kids while their younger to have a better brain connection and how to be able to override the part of their brain that’s responsible for flight or fight. The amygdala.

What if we teach kids that it’s okay to have these feelings of anger and frustration and sadness, but teach them that it matters how they respond in the moments of anger sadness and frustration. Teach kids it’s okay to be mad but just because you’re mad doesn’t mean you can be rude or hit or throw. What if we teach kids now so when they are older they have a easier time handling themselves when anger and frustration hits. Teach kids now what to do with their emotions and teach kids now that feelings lie and how it’s not good to always go solely off of how you feel. Because You might feel like being rude or mean, or hitting or throwing but it doesn’t mean you do it.
