Bow String Pull
Rosined string tickled to taut expectation
waiting to glide against silent steel;
contact coaxing magical metallic voices
Overcome in waves
of emotion that ebb and flow;
crescendo and decrescendo follow
pulling pressure.
Divas
Shave away stubble, fell and scraped clear
cut swaths of barren skin, ready for development
to pour concealing foundation, powders packed
set, brush away excess, feather out, blend
blush for fresh looks, fishy fierce, not frumpy.
Cat eye liner to strike fear, to set mood, sultry
ladies round their eyes for glamour, elegant
affairs of glitter upon lids, tiaras fit into wigs
bigger hair than Texas divas defying physics
reaching for a god, and worshipping idols.
