Body Positivity

Embracing Every Body

We live in a society where having the

ideal body is necessary to succeed.

Nevertheless, what if we could develop love?

Our bodies, just how they are now?

We are constantly exposed to beautiful

photographs and told that we

are too big or not enough.

The ultimate goal is to learn to love yourself,

but the truth is that beauty comes

in various forms and sizes.

We should treat our bodies with respect and love

because they carry us through life and

because we are stronger, smarter, and

more creative than merely how we look.

Let's concentrate on what we can do

rather than what we cannot achieve.

Let's honor our bodies for whatever they are.

Moreover, practice loving your body and soul.

GIVE YOURSELF A BIG HUG!

This poem emphasizes the value of self-love and body acceptance as well as the pressure society places on people to adhere to a particular body type. It inspires us to accept our bodies, regardless of their size or shape, and to put more emphasis on our abilities and strengths than on our perceived shortcomings. It encourages us to treat our bodies with respect and love by serving as a reminder that they are our vehicles for experiencing life. In the end, the poem advises us to have a positive relationship with our own bodies while also recognizing the beauty and uniqueness of all bodies.

The media has spent a long time profiting from making us feel bad about ourselves. That's a lot of baggage to overcome but poems like this can go a long way toward beating back the bad images of ourselves. Great stuff, Jazmin!
