Bright faces beaming back at sun glowing,

Shining warmly while flowers are filling

Up umber fields fresh like lillies in Spring.

Between burgeoning rows friendships show

Up as a sense of bonding, starts to grow,

Gains traction in the fields, then it will glow.

Friends are funny like that because they care,

Continuing as they do as a pair

Or perhaps becoming a group affair,

Always showing support with such effort

Especially in a garden apart

From daily life, sunflowers are off charts.

Hi Kathy - So glad to see you're publishing once again. your eclectic presentations are just marvelous and interesting. I'm just a retired highly scrutinized legal writer morphed into a self described 'Goof Writer'...Nothing more. Not into contests or rewards but so enjoy 'original' stories such as yours among the many snippers within our vm village - with sharp scissors these days. *I've subscribed with pleasure - I would look forward to seeing other offerings from you.
