Blaze

hard to get

By Daniel KPublished 2 years ago • 1 min read

You are harder to hold than the sun,

yet I cannot help but crave your warmth,

how it felt being next to you,

but I know the cost of flying too close,

those searing memories linger,

beneath them,

I am a bird

with broken wings,

still enamored by the sun.

About the Creator

Daniel K

I write love poems about the girl who has a hold over my heart and my life in such a way that neither are my own anymore. The girl I would choose over and over and over again. I love her, and that is the beginning and end of everything.
