Vision of my captor, I surrender

But expect winter weather

‘cause I don't know how to begin

And I don't know where you have been

Somewhere in our bedroom there’s a compass

and a vase full of patience

and I don't know where you have been

but now I know how to begin

again—I’ve lost myself completely

feet don’t fail me

it’s not that far, if you know where you are

Cinnamon and flowers on the counter

It took some time, but I found her

And I’m okay with how I fit in

‘cause I don’t need to begin

again—I’ve become so completely

when she lingers so sweetly

don’t back down

old black spruce, we’ve got nothing to lose
