Black History Month: The World is Us
Poetry for Black History Month
Black History Month. Dear young Black children, the hearts within us is living proof that the world started with us.
Black History Month. I’m dark enough to be seen as an invisible man, but I’m really the original man.
Black History Month. Our elder spirits are a cover for the earth, Black people we need each other for the earth.
Black History Month. Our pain may be great, but our resolve is greater. We are the world’s creators.
Black History Month. Being Black is an inspirational struggle story that ends with our young descendants glory which stands before me.
Black History Month. It exists because in every other month Black is a shadow, but during February the Black glows.
Black History Month. We are the earth’s first pearls and without us you don’t have the rest of the world.
Black History Month. Our legacy only gets bigger and better. Our Black History will live forever.
