the human filled our feeders today,
I could barely wait until he walked away,
sitting in the tree, I’m watching him pour,
saying to myself, more, more, more;
the berry suet’s by far the best,
two beaks full of it may I request,
the sunflower seeds taste like rays of sun,
water in the birdbath, for a drink when I’m done,
we love our human, don’t know his name,
but our bellies are full, and he’s to blame.
Hope you enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed writing it, sitting on the deck watching my little friends eat.
Thanks for reading!!

That was a well needed bit of positivity, for my chilly winter morning. It warmed me up. Nicely composed.
One part of my day I love is feeding the birds. I swear they are waiting each morning just as you described ❤️
I can hear the birds at our feeders saying this. Great job!
This piece is so fun, I could almost picture it😊
Awww, this was just so sweet!
❤️❤️❤️❤️
This is a lovely piece. Well done.
Charming!! I love how it’s from the bird’s perspective 🥰 Fun and sweet :)
I don't buy the berry suet anymore. The dog got into the last bag, and I was cleaning up her runny pink poop for two days 😮 But I love feeding "our" sparrows. They come right up to the window and tap on it 😁
