Betrayed In More Ways Than One

You used to be my only friend.

I wonder if I can forgive you.

You told my secret and then lied too.

A stranger you seem and not a friend.

I do not know when my pain will end.

It has been ten years since we first met.

There were words you said I can't forget.

Other times you would not give me space.

I saw you, could not look at your face.

There are days my tears just want to flow.

You're the only friend I got to know.

I wanted you to apologize,

Instead you will judge and criticize.

Just last night I saw a photo of you

And thought of fun things we used to do.

We had a bond I hoped would not end.

I was always proud to call you friend.
