Sheltered in love's arms, trust was sown,

Two souls entwined, our hearts forever known.

I was caught in a web of his deceit,

Like a spider, crept in unseen,

Betrayal's poisonous sting, left a wound so deep and keen.

Once our radiant love, now marred by lies

A shattered bond beneath sorrow's skies

Like roses wilted,petals torn asunder,

The pain of betrayal, a heart left to ponder.

Promises broken, like fragile glass shattered,

A lover's deceit, a bond left tattered.

Yet amidst the darkness, strength shall rise,

From ashes of betrayal, a phoenix flies.

With healing, we find our way,

Resilience blooms, brighter with each new day.

Though scarred, with lessons learned,

A wiser heart, love's true essence earned.

Betrayal's touch may wound, but not defeat,

For love's true power, in forgiveness, will set you free.

I forgive you, but I will never forget

The chain reaction of all the days I wept.

You thought the grass was greener on the other side,

The tables have turned,

Now it is you that is left in the dark completely blind.

My guard is up; I'm on defense mode

For my heart to remain whole,

And soar above and beyond the pain, is a triumphant soul.
