Best friend lost

best friend

By esther hopePublished 4 months ago 1 min read

I still remember when I first saw you,

and thought to myself, "I need to get to know you"

it was beautiful, we found each other,

our differences made us whole.

We laughed, we cried, we shared our every thought,

But life had its way, and our paths became diverse.

The miles grew longer, the time became scarce,

As we drifted apart, it felt like a curse.

But the memories we made, will never fade,

In my heart, our friendship will forever be displayed.

remember how i used to call everyone your name,

now it's all over my passwords, so i may never forget.

Though we may be distant, and years may go by,

Your smile and your voice, I'll never forget.

For the bond we created, will always survive,

And know that my love for you, will never subside.

So, here's to you, my best friend lost,

May your life be filled with love and not frost.

And if our paths should ever cross once more,

I'll be here waiting, with my heart and arms wide open, galore.
