Being a Parent
“The best part”
Spending a day out in the sand
Seeing my child’s hand,
Playing in band.
A fun day at the park
Never miss this part,
Proud parent’s heart.
Off to school can be hard
A smile I impart
This scholar’s tart.
Take them fishin’ and doin’ dishes
Hard work pays late,
Lessons we teach.
Brushing their teeth no preachin’ dad
I always get sad,
Because one day
I know they will grow up,
To be mom or
Maybe be Dad.
