Roses have thorns, we have anger and emotions
Behind The Rose
People often see the rose,
the petals carefully arranged,
never noticing the thorns
hidden underneath.
They admire what is shown,
the colours and the shape,
without wondering
what helped it survive.
Life has a way
of teaching resilience,
often through lessons
we never asked to learn.
There were days of rain,
days of uncertainty,
days when giving up
felt much easier.
Yet something remained,
a small quiet strength,
refusing to disappear
when things became difficult.
Perhaps that is enough,
not perfection,
not victory,
just continuing forward.
And maybe that is where
real beauty lives,
in the courage to grow
despite everything.
