My Earth, Wind, & Fire
I craved you
Like a smoker
Craves Nicotine
You kept me high
Oh it was so nice
But when the highs
Turned to lows
My sanity was blown
You weren’t good for my health
Yet I consumed you
Hoping your love for me would satisfy
The love I lacked for myself
But like any other drug addict
I seemed to lose myself in you
Until my soul
Called for an intervention
and I realized
I had everything I thought
I was missing
and my love for self
would help me overcome
