Beautiful night

Walking in the rain

“Beautiful night”

Under the streetlight's glow, by the river's side,

He saw her with another, but his heart denied.

It's a beautiful night, it’s an ugly sight,

and the moon just gave him that friendly bite.

In a red dress she stood, a cold wind blew

Raindrops fell, and the sky wept too.

It's a beautiful night for someone’s lover to steal

his soul was crushed by her high heel.

From the shadows he watched, but it was so bright

they were kissing and smiling, another lost fight.

But the night was beautiful, seize the moment he said,

So he walked towards them, so lost and sad.

Passing by, he spoke to the woman fair,

"You know, I too find solace in rain-soaked air.

I’m glad that we shared this rainy spring,

it’s an beautiful night, don’t you think?”.
