In the heart of the city, where skyscrapers gleam,
Lived a homeless boy, in a world so extreme.
His pillow the pavement, his blanket the night,
He faced life's cruel battles, without a guiding light.
His clothes were tattered, his shoes full of holes,
Yet he carried a smile, like the sun in his soul.
With dreams in his eyes, he'd gaze at the stars,
Hoping for warmth in a world full of scars.
He scavenged for food in the bins of despair,
Invisible to many, as if no one cared.
But the strength in his spirit, the fire in his heart,
Were a testament to a life torn apart.
He'd watch children pass by, in their warm, cozy homes,
While he stood alone, on the cold, unforgiving stones.
But he held onto hope, like a treasure untold,
That one day his story would no longer be cold.
For kindness can mend even the deepest of wounds,
And love can transform the darkest monsoons.
So let's remember the homeless, with compassion anew,
For beneath the worn surface, dreams and hopes still accrue.
In the heart of the city, where hope seemed so far,
Lived a homeless boy, wishing on a distant star.
May we extend our hands, lend a caring embrace,
And help him find a home, a safer place.
