Be gentle I’m homeless

Be Kind

I am withered down, spat on, and curled up in the street

I pray each night for food, home and place to sleep

Angels watching if you would lay a helping hand

You watch from a far, yet close, laughing as you stand

Don’t mock me, I came into this world just as you

From a mother’s love, straight from her womb

I am worthy just as you, don’t be cruel I’m homeless

I’m finding my worth but don’t need you to be mindless

At times I stutter in expressing my needs to live

A helping hand, maybe a blessing you can give

It’s no ones fault that I am like this

Remember we are of one creation, a heavenly bliss

So be thoughtful as you see me weep

I homeless, yet human and care to deep

Judge me not, for I wish upon you to be

Blessed, happy and loving, so don’t end up like me.
