Basking in Love.

A confession of love.

A love that beckons me to bask a while,

Each morning it whispers I’m here again.

Peering through a blanket of blue Nile,

Its soft gestures gently touching my skin.

By noon it is calling, come lay with me.

Finding a place, I lie to feel its rays,

Wash over me like waves from a wild sea.

A love now common, but never blasé

My skin smiling as the sun fills its pores.

My heart is full, burning of a love renewed.

My Summer love is here, meeting once more.

My body satisfied with its pursuit.

Sol, you complete me, forever it’s true

and though you sleep, you will come again soon.
