Ballad Or Not?

A ballad is a form of verse, often a narrative set to music. Ballads derive from the medieval French chanson balladée or ballade, which were originally "dance songs". A young girl reading my writing,

her big sigh, and I was

uncomfortable. Okay, what?

"What is Tizzy? Don't know because

~

I thought, oh sh-t now I'm dizzy.

Dizzy - what I am now.

She then assured me, that she had

not heard Tizzy and took a bow.

I upset you, I didn't mean to.

I am new here you see.

I do not want to upset you.

Happens often actually.

We got to know each other well

I was in love with her.

I will not ever be famous

I thought she might for sure.

~

Fun, lovely, bright and exciting.

And her stories were great.

Funny, nice writing. Is it love?

Then I whispered, "Too late."

    I think this is a lovely, heartfelt ballad. Strong human emotions expressed through poetry and often set to using. Very good!
