Be You

By Karen LaRuePublished 2 years ago 1 min read

Backspace

How much of your life have you backspaced over?

Afraid of letting someone else read

Who you really are

So you go back and rewrite it

Into something more ordinary

More acceptable

More normal

Because that part that you backspaced over

Is you

It’s what makes you abnormal and unacceptable, yes

But it’s also what makes you extraordinary

It’s where your power is

So embrace this part of yourself

Let the world read your story

And leave that backspace for spelling mistakes

Cause I want to know you
