I make my way through the crowd
Trying to maintain that six feet of distance
Turning my face away
From the inconsiderate unmasked ones
Who believe in their own invincibility
And care not one iota if I am invincible, too
Why are signs posted on the door
When the majority choose to ignore
The rules of the grocery store?
I wheel my cart to the checkout line
And carefully place my feet on the sign
That reminds me to keep my distance
While the jerk behind me gets
Right
Up
Close
I’m crowded
It’s so hard not to punch people...
