I’m just a mushroom

Sprouting unexpectedly.

Sorry if I made you feel awkward,

I guess I have to step backward.

Uninvited I appeared,

Maybe for you I’m just too weird.

If my presence causes you discomfort,

I apologize, I can't simply abort.

I don’t even know why I am here,

I’ve just existed, that much is clear.

I’ll just quietly sit here, I mean no harm,

I hope it won’t bring you so much alarm.

So let’s just say you don’t see me, just pretend.

My purpose here, I don’t even comprehend.

Forgive my intrusion if it may seem so strange.
