Rapt awestruck in the shape of you
I’m caught air struck aside
Ribs cracked in the break of blue
Grace to ebb and flow as tide
//
To sit softly without articulation
Too much and more to comprehend
Spent my ashes to trepidation
Bones to hold, to break, to bend
//
Stay close despite my abrasions
Wolfs teeth, rough edges, cut bite
Space carved as grief made elation
Where shadow gives way to light
//
To regard you with quiet revelation
In a humility veered to tilt
Where abject horror meets adulation
Where the sheen of gold makes gilt.
