One Aussie “Christmas in July” 🎄

my bright eyes did see 👀

Twelve cows a-grazing 🐄

Eleven orchids swaying

Ten magpies singing

Nine horses gazing

Eight calves a-drinking

Seven topknot pigeons

Six kookaburras 🎶

Five lorikeets

Four pink galahs

Three ghost gums

Two hopping hares

And a wallaby with her joey. 🦘

🤗

Originally inspired by an early morning walk past a tree full of screeching white cockatoos enjoying their breakfast. Such a beautiful way to start my day… blessed by all of these lovely sights. However, I can’t vouch for the accuracy of the numbers listed above! Yesterday, we celebrated “Christmas in July” at work which reminded me of the “12 Days of Christmas”. 🎄

An alternate last line is:

“A dirt bike on a Ute tray”… but I couldn’t resist the wallaby and her joey!🤭
