Auntie Jean’s New Yoga Class
It’s all fun and games

Auntie Jean’s New Yoga Class
They said it was gentle I trusted the flyer
Till Jean got stuck halfway in the tumble dryer
She meant to stretch just a little at most
But now she’s wedged like a crumpet in toast
Her leggings split clear from thigh to shin
We heard the tear and the wheeze of her chin
The instructor said breathe and go with the flow
Jean muttered something I can’t repeat though
Mavis brought snacks, which seemed out of place
She passed out KitKats mid Warrior pose grace
Bob from the butchers came just for the tea
He ended up tangled in someone’s Tai Chi
We tried downward dog, it looked more like a fall
Someone farted, we all blamed Paul
Jean tried again with a mighty big grin
Till she tipped sideways and rolled into Finn
The instructor now rocks in a quiet despair
His zen has dissolved into wild-eyed stare
We ended the session flat on our backs
Laughing so hard we pulled several cracks
So if you’re feeling tense or stuck in a fog
Don’t bother with candles, just join our odd mob
Where yoga means biscuits, a giggle or three
And Auntie Jean’s trapped again, bless her knee
